Ginn Downing joined Washington Capital’s San Francisco office in 2018. As Vice President of Real Estate, she sources new investment opportunities in debt, mezzanine, preferred equity, and equity.
Ginn graduated from California Polytechnic State University in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration (including Master’s courses), with a concentration in Management and Finance. Ginn started her career in the real estate industry in 1992. At Capmark Investments, her roles included Senior Vice President, Fund and Regional Manager, Originator and Credit Committee member beginning in 2007. Previously at Fremont, she was an Originator, Manager, and Senior Vice President/Director starting in 1996. As an individual, she has sourced, underwritten and originated over $7.5 billion. As a manager, she has hired and overseen teams in production, real estate services, underwriting and advisory within funds, CDOs, credit companies, and balance sheets totaling $26 billion. She has also established regional offices, been an asset and portfolio manager, and conducted construction and property management including dispositions.
Her licenses include: California Broker License (2014); California Real Estate Appraiser, Designations: Executive Consultant (2002); CPS Real Estate Sales, Production & Best Practices, Catalyst & CPS Management (2003).
