Walter Bastis joined Washington Capital’s Boston office in 2022 as Vice President for Asset Management, managing all property types in the eastern half of the United States.
Walter has worked in the fields of investment management and real estate since 1994. Prior to joining WaCap, Walter spent 24 years at AEW Capital Management, where he was senior operations officer, overseeing Portfolio Management and Clients for both equity and debt portfolios. In this role, his responsibilities included valuation analysis, client reporting, annual portfolio plans, and compliance.
He is a graduate of Southern New Hampshire University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a minor in Accounting.
Outside of work, Walter participates several charities including the Pan-Mass Challenge, Haiti180, and Father Bill’s Homeless Shelter.
