Bassam Jurdi joined Washington Capital in 2014 as Vice President, Real Estate. Bassam is based in WaCap’s Los Angeles office, where he is responsible for new investment originations and asset management. Since joining the company, Bassam has invested over $300 million of Washington Capital’s client funds in new development projects and existing asset acquisitions and has served as asset manager of a 2.5 million sf portfolio.
Bassam began his career in the construction industry after graduating in 1999 with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. After working in construction management from 2000 to 2003, Bassam pursued an MBA from the University of Washington, graduating in 2005. Bassam then worked at Bentall Kennedy from 2005 to 2014, during which time he closed over $1.0 billion of dispositions and acquisitions and had asset management responsibilities for 7 million sf of properties.
