Cory is Washington Capital’s Chairman and a member of the Board of Directors. Cory joined Washington Capital in 1999 as portfolio manager for real estate equity portfolios and has served in various roles in the company.
Prior to joining WaCap, Cory spent 18 years at Weyerhaeuser Realty Investors where he was a regional investment manager, responsible for identifying, investing, and managing a broad range of real estate investments. At Weyerhaeuser, he was also involved in client relations and marketing, particularly with overseas investors in WRI projects.
Cory received his BA degree in urban policy from Michigan State University in 1974. In 1981, he received an MBA degree from the University of Washington focusing on finance and real estate. From 1998-1999, Cory was the president of the University of Washington Alumni Association with a membership of over 50,000 alumni.
