Sean joined the firm in 2013 to source, underwrite, and asset manage equity investments in existing properties and development joint ventures. He transitioned to Assistant Portfolio Manager of the Real Estate Debt strategy in 2022 and was named Senior Portfolio Manager in July 2026 to co-manage our commingled debt funds. Sean is a voting member of our Real Estate Investment Committee.
Prior to joining Washington Capital, Sean underwrote new commercial real estate loans and provided credit analysis at Union Bank and Marcus and Millichap Capital Corporation. Sean’s experience also includes managing large commercial construction projects with Lend Lease.
Sean has a degree in electrical engineering and computer science from the University of California, Berkeley and an MBA from the University of Washington, and is an active participant in several industry groups.
